Green Schoolyards

Studies have shown that spending time in nature is beneficial in a variety of meaningful ways- that's why our parent company, PlayCore, has collaborated with the Children & Nature Network to help develop and promote green schoolyards.

According to the Children & Nature Network, a Green Schoolyard is a space that not only benefits the students who attend the school, but can serve the needs of the surrounding community.

A Green Schoolyard can include:

• Outdoor classrooms

• Native and pollinator gardens

• Stormwater capture

• Traditional play equipment

• Nature play areas

• Edible gardens

• Trails

• Trees and landscape enhancement
