Project
Three Rivers Elementary School set out to build a playground with one guiding principle: all means all.
For many students, engaging with their peers on the existing playground was challenging. Limited inclusive activities and a lack of accessibility for mobility devices meant that not every child had the same opportunity to play.
Determined to change that, Three Rivers designed a playground where every child could play, explore, and express themselves. The entire structure is accessible by ramp, with wide decks that allow children using mobility devices to move comfortably. Musical instruments encourage sensory play and self-expression, while a variety of climbers and slides provide adventure for all. This playground isn’t just a place to play - it’s a space where every child belongs.
